Recently, the Chevrolet Bolt EV was named 2017 North American Car of the Year by NACTOY, a group of 60 automotive journalists from the United States and Canada. The award, announced at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, is considered to be extremely prestigious due to the expertise and diversity of the judging panel. Jurors evaluated dozens of new vehicles prior to selecting the Bolt EV as the 2017 Car of the Year.
